History
1986
Robert Sullivan formed TBS Engineering
Corporation, a Delaware Corporation, doing
consulting and machine design in the coating
industry operating out of Solana Beach,
California.
1996
Robert Sullivan moved his base operation to
Gardnerville, Nevada.
2003
In May of 2003 the company changed its name to
TBS Abrasives Incorporated and started to
manufacture coated abrasives (Lapping Film)
along with consulting and machine design. The
base of operations was moved and setup at 36-C
Vincent Circle Ivyland, Pennsylvania its current
location. Also in May of 2003 Robert Sullivan
Transferred 50 percent ownership to Clarence
Bartron who has over 40 years in the
manufacturing and selling Lapping film and has
personally develop a large amount of the product
that are used in today’s industries.
2004
Robert Bartron joined
the company. He has over 22 years experience in
the manufacturing and development of abrasive
products.
2005
In July of 2005 Clarence Bartron Purchased
Robert Sullivan's 50% shares and Clarence became
100% owner of TBS Abrasives Incorporated. Today
they are strictly a manufacturer of abrasive
products along with consulting work. They no
longer do machine design.
